The symposium was supported by EAAP (European Association for Aviation Psychology. University Salzburg, Prof. Rokitansky showed concepts and technologies by simulation with special regard to human in the loop evaluation and air traffic forecast simulation based on ATM/ATC/CNS simulator.
USBG’s distributed human-in-the-loop simulation environment can be coupled to SWIM network for research, validation, training at the Aviation Competence Center. (ACCS)

IABG June 25th and 26th, 2015

On June 25th to 26th Prof. Carl-Herbert Rokitansky was invited to IABG-Munich (the leading European Technology and Service provider in Aerospace Industry) for lecture and demonstrations on Cyber Security. IABG supports technologies in Internet, Telecommunication Networks, Computer Systems and Secure Information Technologies.

Capability Analysis and
IT Security
in ISMS (Information Security Management Systems) by introducing the Demo Tools of the ACCS (Aviation Competence Center Salzburg).

RTCA / EUROCAE June, 08 – 12, 2015

Interval Management Standardisation – Working Groups at Salzburg University.
The federal aviation administration (FAA) launches the 63th RTCA-meeting (Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics) on Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast together with EUROCAE (European Organisation for Civil Aviation Equimpment) dedicated to Standardization of Aviation at Salzburg University.
The specific working groups on application of technical requirements and development status were held during 4 days. Surveillance Broadcast Status (SBS), AIM, FIM, European activities,coordination with ADSB were some of the topics discussed. Friday, 12th of June the ACCS (Aviation Competence Center Salzburg) was visited by the delegation and simlation tools were shown to the interested experts.

ROLL2RAIL KICK-OFF Meeting, May 7, 2015, BRUSSELS

UNIFE, the European Rail Industry launched an European Rail Research and development project meeting. This project was selected by the European Commission in the call of the HORIZON 2020Programme.
Within Shift2Rail-ROLL2Rail aims to develop key technologies and to remove identified blocking points for innovaton in the field of railway vehicles as part of a longer term strategy to revolutionise the rolling stock of the future. The results will be further developed, leading to demonstration in real vehicles or relevant environments.

WORLD ATM Congress, March 9 – 12, 2015

WORLD ATM Congress hosted at the IFEMA – Feria de Madrid. The topics of Air Traffic, Air Security and ATM were covered in this event. It is supported by Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) seated in United States of America.
In this event an information exchange of air navigation service providers, industrial manufacturers and suppliers, Aircraft manufacturers, Airlines, Airports and Aviation associations takes place every year.
Actual and future projects are promoted and discussed. Simulation work as done in the ACCS (Aviaton Competence Center Salzburg) at the University of Salzburg at the current state of research is an extremely quested applicaion area.
